about

1. Wyatt (who played Peaseblossom) came up with the melody, I came up with the music and harmonies, and we created the bit half-way through the song. It happened so seamlessly you'd think we've been writing musical theatre songs together for years now.

2. Whenever this gets performed indoors, I will be using my celestaphone. But in the meantime, please enjoy it in this track!

3. Yes I know this song goes before Oberon's spell (named "Some Vile Thing" in this EP), but hear me out, usually there's a LOT more space between that song and "Up and Down", and you don't wanna hear the same thing twice in a row, do you?

lyrics

PEASEBLOSSOM
You spotted snakes with double tongue
Thorny hedgehogs, be not here
Newts and blindworms, do no wrong
Come not near our fairy queer

PUCK
3, 4

PEASEBLOSSOM & PUCK
LULLA LULLA LULLA LULLA LULLABY
LULLA LULLA LULLA LULLA LULLABY
NEVER HARM NOR SPELL NOR CHARM
Come our lovely fairy nigh
