about

1. Hey, wanna know what's intimidating? Writing music for one of the most famous Shakespearian monologues of all time.

2. I got a lot of inspiration from the Crystal Kingdom arc of the RPG podcast "The Adventure Zone", and if you listen really closely you can hear some of that forest melody in the bridge.

3. Not to be all "artist living through the COVID-19 pandemic" but there was something particularly powerful for me to say the line "give me your hands if we be friends" while standing in front of the first in-person audience I had performed for in over a year. Stay safe, friends.

lyrics

If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumbered here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend,
If you pardon, we will mend,
And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearned luck
Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue,
We will make amends ere long.
Else the Puck a liar call;
So, good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends!
